Mobile Truck and Trailer Repair in Wingate, NC
Wingate is a small college town, but the trucks around it work hard. Grain and poultry haulers, feed trucks, farm equipment trailers and freight headed east on US-74 toward Rockingham and Wilmington all pass through. Red Rover Service is based in Monroe, about 13 miles west by road, and we come to your truck in Wingate instead of making you find a tow.

Wingate Roads We Know
- Monroe Expressway exit 270 (Austin Chaney Road), the Wingate interchange on the US-74 Bypass. It’s the main way heavy trucks get in and out of town without going through Monroe.
- US-74 through town, which runs near Wingate University and carries local delivery and farm traffic between Monroe and Marshville.
- Farm and county roads north and south of town, where poultry houses, grain operations and equipment yards keep trucks running on rural two-lanes.
Eastern Union County is farm country, and much of our Wingate work happens at farms and private yards rather than terminals. If your truck is down at the end of a gravel drive, that’s fine. Just tell us where to turn.
What We Do for Wingate Trucks
- Roadside repair: our emergency roadside service covers US-74 and the expressway during business hours.
- Preventive maintenance: fleet PM with an oil change and new filter, fuel filters, grease and a full inspection, scheduled around harvest and hauling seasons. We track due dates and call you.
- Welding and fabrication: farm trailers take a beating, and our mobile welding and trailer repair service fixes cracked steel and builds parts on site.
- Diagnostics: computer diagnostics for warning lights, DEF faults and derates.
- Inspections: 120-point DOT inspections in your yard.
What to Have Ready When You Call
- The truck’s year and make, and the trailer type if it’s involved.
- A short description of the problem and any codes showing.
- Location: farm address, or the road, direction and nearest landmark or expressway exit. Rural addresses don’t always map correctly, so a cross road helps.
- Gate or field access, and whether the truck is on pavement, gravel or dirt.
Hours and Pricing
Call Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM, or Friday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM ET. We’re closed nights and weekends. Our typical ETA during business hours is 60 to 90 minutes. You pay one $75 flat fuel charge per call, with no mileage or minimum, which matters when you’re out on the east side of the county.
When Mobile Repair Isn’t the Right Fit
A truck that needs an engine teardown or a lift will need a shop. We’ll diagnose it first and let you know.
Nearby Service Areas
We also serve Marshville to the east and Monroe to the west, plus the length of the US-74 and Monroe Expressway corridor.
