Mobile Truck Repair in Kings Mountain, NC
Kings Mountain straddles the Cleveland and Gaston county line, with most of the city on the Cleveland County side. It’s the western end of the I-85 corridor we cover and one of the busiest distribution clusters between Charlotte and Spartanburg. Red Rover Service repairs trucks and trailers on site at Kings Mountain docks, yards and shoulders. At about 50 driving miles, it’s one of our farthest drives from Monroe, so it helps that a tech is based nearby on the west side for these calls.

Kings Mountain Interchanges and Distribution Centers
- Canterbury Road, near I-85 and NC-161: the 1.26-million-square-foot Kings Mountain Corporate Center on Sara Lee Access Road, a HanesBrands distribution center, Bay Valley Foods, XPO and Utz.
- Exit 5 (Dixon School Road/Kings Mountain Boulevard), next to the Catawba Two Kings Casino. A planned interchange rebuild and the proposed Dixon Ridge industrial site mean more construction and more trucks there.
- Exit 8 (NC-161) into town, and exit 10, where US-74 splits west toward Shelby.
- Exit 2 (NC-216) by Kings Mountain National Military Park, and exit 4 (US-29 South) toward Grover and the South Carolina line.
Casino traffic is heaviest at exit 5, so if your truck is down near that interchange, pulling into a business lot rather than stopping on the ramp makes the repair quicker and safer.
Because many of these sites are large cross-docks, a broken trailer often sits in a drop lot while the yard waits for a tow or a slot at a repair shop. Fixing it in place, whether it is a lighting fault, an air leak or a stuck landing gear, gets it back into rotation the same day.
