Mobile Truck Repair in Lowell, NC

Lowell has become one of the busiest freight spots in Gaston County. The Gateway85 park between Lowell and Gastonia brought millions of square feet of distribution space and the truck traffic that comes with it. Red Rover Service repairs trucks and trailers on site at those docks and around town. Lowell is about 34 driving miles from our Monroe shop, and a tech is based nearby on the west side.

Gateway85 and Lowell’s Freight Roads

Gateway85 tenants include Newell Brands’ 1.5-million-square-foot distribution center, a large U.S. Postal Service facility, Amazon, MAT Holdings and Lane Seven Apparel. That’s a lot of trailers sitting at doors and in drop lots, and a lot of tractors waiting in line. Other routes we cover:

  • I-85 exit 22 (Main Street, shared with Cramerton) and exit 23 (NC-7 toward McAdenville).
  • NC-7, the old main road through Lowell and McAdenville into Gastonia.
  • Lowell–Bethesda Road, a two-lane connector south toward Wilkinson Boulevard.

McAdenville, right next door, is known as Christmas Town USA. In December, holiday light traffic backs up NC-7 in the evenings, so daytime appointments work best for trucks parked in that area.

Outside the distribution park, Lowell is still a small town with a short main street and older mill-village neighborhoods. Local contractors and delivery vans park on residential lots, and we treat those calls the same as a dock call: quick check-in, a clear quote and no surprise fees. The South Fork River runs along the west side of town, and most crossings are on NC-7 and I-85, so tell us which bank you are on.
