Mobile Truck Repair in Stanley, NC

Stanley is a small town in northern Gaston County, just below the Lincoln County line and a few miles west of Mountain Island Lake. It’s quieter than the I-85 towns, but it has a strong metal fabrication base and plenty of contractors and owner-operators. Red Rover Service repairs trucks and trailers on site in Stanley. The town is about 37 driving miles from our Monroe shop, and a tech is based nearby on the west side, so Stanley is one of the quickest Gaston County towns for us to reach.

Stanley Roads and Shops

  • NC-27, the main road through town, running southeast to Mount Holly and northwest toward Lincolnton.
  • NC-275 (Dallas–Stanley Highway), the link southwest to Dallas and US-321.
  • Hovis Road, where a 144,000-square-foot industrial building handles warehouse and manufacturing tenants.
  • Stanley–Lucia Road, heading north toward Lucia and the lake side of Gaston County.

Stanley’s fabrication shops build pressure vessels, tanks and precision steel parts, and that means flatbeds and heavy loads leaving town on two-lane roads. When a loaded flatbed has a problem, it usually can’t move far, so on-site repair is often the only practical option. There’s no interstate here; the closest I-85 access is down US-321 through Dallas or NC-273 through Mount Holly.

Plenty of Stanley trucks also belong to one-truck owner-operators and small crews: grading contractors, haulers and trades that park at home and run to job sites across Gaston and Lincoln counties. For them, a truck down is a lost day of pay. We’ll diagnose it at your property and quote the fix before any work, so you can decide on the spot. Many of these trucks also come due for an annual DOT inspection at the same time each year, and doing it in your own driveway saves a half day of driving to a shop and waiting in line.
